Run a what-if and write the briefing

Test a rule change on sample cases and produce a briefing for a decision maker.

Who can do this: City Administrator. Pick the person to act as them from Demo controls.

Go to What-if

  1. Open "More tools" in the left menu, then click "What-if".
  2. Under "Start from an example" click "Raise the side/rear fence height limit from 6 ft to 7 ft", or build your own under "Build a what-if".
  3. In "Run comparison" check the Population, the Seed and the Number of cases.
  4. Click "Run comparison".
  5. Read "Recommended outcomes" and "Cases that change".
  6. Click "Read briefing".
  7. When live Muse is on, click "Write the briefing with Muse". When it is off, click "Try recorded Muse briefing". The label reads "Muse briefing (live)" or "Recorded Muse briefing". The hosted demonstration is set for 100 live Muse calls per deploy and 100 provider calls a day, and whoever runs it can change that setting. When the allowance is used up, the recorded answer is used and the label says "Recorded Muse briefing".
  8. Read the sections, then use "Download HTML" or "Download Markdown" if you need a copy.

What you get: The figures come from the rule engine. Muse only explains them. When live Muse is off, or the allowance of the deployment is used up, the briefing is a recorded answer and the label says so.
